I’m a Lebanese-Australian writer and production designer out of Naarm. In both written and visual form, my work is steeped in fantasy and caricature.

I’ve worked with production companies like Blacksand Pictures and Princess Pictures, and was shortlisted in 2025 for SBS Digital Originals for my writing on 'Loops, an upcoming surrealist comedy series.

A fashioner of dioramas and words, I’m persistently chasing the tail of a more colourful, bedazzled silver screen.

Selected Work

1. “Tatli Love Buffet”
Social Media Reel
Creator & Director

DOP: Baris Ulusoy, of Near Dark Productions
In collaboration with Capers Bar & Restaurant, for a Valentine’s Day event hosted by Tatli, I built a diorama of two elegant dalmatians, celebrating their elegant love over a romantic, diso-ball lit dinner, and directed a short reel in promotion of the sold-out event.

2. Meet Me at the Pink House

Screening Event
Curator

A multi-sensory screening event hosted within the courtyard of Collingwood Yards, in collaboration with Hope St Radio, Composite Moving Image, and The Social Studio.

I presented Joana & Khalil Hadjitomas’ debut film ‘Around the Pink House’ (1999) for the first time in Australia to a sold out crowd at a multi venue event held within an arts precinct. These events were hosted in collaboration with not-for-profit community project Mahalla, which works to connect SWANA creatives through initiatives & events highlighting music, art, food & film,

Through a use of thoughtful visual motifs, special live musical performances, commemorative art & merch and desserts from the SWANA region, these events encourage audiences to fully immerse themselves within the realm of the movies they observe.

3. Tatlı

My partner Polat and I founded our event collective tatlı in 2023; a universe of film, music and confectionery. Playfully enlivening their Turkish and Lebanese memories, tatlı reimagines everyday rituals and disappearing traditions for the present with glamorously considered soirées and finery.

Together we have hosted events for Brunswick Music Festival, MPavillion, and The Immigration Museum.

4. Positive (dir. Bridget Morrisson)
Short Film
Production Designer

Bridget Morrisson’s debut short ‘Positive’ follows protagonist, Olive, as she navigates the ebbs and flows of her hypothetical motherhood. The film premiered at VSFF in Sydney.

5. Kismet at the Immigration Museum
Film Premiere
Producer & Moderator
Supported by the City of Melbourne Arts Grants, and Immigration Museum. Hosted by Near Dark Productions and Tatlı, Kismet, was a screening of KARA ELMAS, the sophomore narrative short film by director Barış Ulusoy.

KARA ELMAS follows Ayşe, a middle-aged divorcee, leaving her traditional marriage and pursuing a life of independence and expression through music.

6. Dizzy Spells (dir. Beth Morrisson)
Short Film
Production Designer
Dizzy Spells is a short film nominated for VSFF following Nancy — drive-through opeator by day, a witch by night— as she casts a spell to release her best friend Dina from the shackles of a toxic situationship, only for it to backfire.

7. Tatlı x Cono Gelateria
Food Activation

Stylist & Producer
In collaboration with Reservoir gem, Cono Gelateria, we created an ice cream flavour based off of my mother’s Maamoul recipe as a limited edition Eid special. I styled the editorial photoshoot shot by Erhan Tirli which was later featured in PHOTO 2023, and the Hume Winter Lights Festival.

8. Tatlı x MPavillion
Music and Food Event
Stylist & Producer

When tatlı was invited to present a show at MPavillion, we prepared a special apricot dessert as an offering to patrons, and adorned the space with antique trays and ornaments amongst the historic Queen Victoria Gardens, and ceremoniously threw chocolate covered roses to dancing lovers and friends to the rhythm of DJ sets by Polat and Ramsey.

9. Tatlı x Music in Exile for Brunswick Music Festival
Music Event
Stylist & Producer
As part of Brunswick Music Festival’s 2023 program, guests were invited to reserve a table their hair gel, pointy shoes, fake tan, shiny shirt or sparkly gown.

Entering through a peculiar gift store, guests experienced a flashy evening of music & entertainment dressed in all the trappings of a wedding.

The event included performances from DJs SAMI (Adelaide), Buse (Sydney), Marroushti and Polat, with live drums and mizmar performed by distinguished guests at Alasya Restaurant - who have affectionately facilitated gatherings for over forty two years in the heart of Sydney Road.

10. Meet the Maker x The Social Studio
Blog Series
Stylist & Writer
Meet the Maker is a blog series I worked on in my time at The Social Studio, where we interviewed and photographed vendors of the store in their personal studios. Artits featured include Nastja Zaric, Pey Chi, and Kate Beynon.

11. Loops (prod. Blacksand Pictures)
TV Series
Writer
Shortlisted for SBS Digital Originals in 2025, Loops is an upcoming 6x10 minute comedy series produced by Blacksand Pictures and created by Oz Malik.

Loops is set around a dissipating rug store in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. The world is much like the one we know and love, with a sprinkle of Bollywood-esque surrealism.

Two brothers at odds must bury the hatchet to save their family rug store that’s about to be replaced by an aquarium. But when a perfectly preserved dead body is discovered in a recalled rug, a chain of surreal events reveal the rug’s mystical properties, their family’s unburied past, and the wrongs in rite of passage.

12. Tastes of Africa  (prod. Blacksand Pictures)
Documentary Series
Production Designer
Tastes of Africa is a 3 x 15-min documentary series supported by VicScreen and Screen Australia that follows Santilla Chingaipe on a rich, sensory journey to reconnect with African food, memory, and identity.

When Santilla Chingaipe sets out to host the ultimate African dinner party, she’s drawn into a rich journey through Melbourne’s African food scene; guided by aunties and joined by friends, they uncover histories of kingdoms, colonisation, and migration.

Tasting her way through her own city becomes a joyful search for identity, memory, and what it means to belong.
